Mr. Anthony Scardino, Jr. serves as Member of Board of Commissioners at New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority. Mr. Scardino serves as Member of Board of Governors at Hackensack University Medical Center. Mr. Scardino has been involved in Politics since he completed his duty in the United States Air Force. a Member of the HUMC board since 1981. Mr. Scardino serves as a Trustee of Hillcrest Health Service System, Inc. Upon leaving the political arena, he serves on the Felician College Board of Trustees, the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute Board, the President of the 200 Club of Bergen County. He served as an Executive Director of the New Jersey Meadowlands Development Commission. He served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the medical center. He served as chairman of the HUMC Foundation Board of Trustees. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce and as an arbitrator for the New Jersey Supreme Court's District IIB Fee Arbitration Committee. He is the recipient of many honors and awards. Among those most special to him are the New Jersey Pride Award from New Jersey Monthly Magazine, the Outstanding Public Official of the Year award from the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Legislator of the Year award from the New Jersey Association of Chosen Freeholders, and - always proud of his heritagethe “Man of the Year” Award from the Hackensack chapter of UNICO. In the fall of 2004, he was recognized once again, as the Bergen County chapter of the National Conference for Community and Justice designated him their Humanitarian of the Year. Mr. Scardino attended both Felician College and Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 2000, he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humans Letters from Felician College.
