Buddhist works of art that were often painted during the Goryeo Dynasty.

Beyond the simple meaning for religious enlightenment, there are overall splendid and delicate features.

Goryeo Buddhist paintings are highly regarded in painting history for their combination of the noble colors of the mineral pigment,

Seokchae, and the splendor of the gold teeth,

creating a mysterious atmosphere, and for their lively brush strokes and well-organized composition.

White and yellow colors were mainly used in silk baths, mainly in red, green, and blue,

and the original colors were used as they were, but precious pigments of stone were used,

making them stand out from the colorful monochrome. Despite the high clarity of the primary colors

, the overall moderate tone seems to be restrained due to the elegant light of the stone colors painted on top of silk,

and the effective insertion of the medium color between the primary colors,

along with the double-colour method (a technique used to paint the back of the screen so that the pigment can be drawn forward).
