Chang, Hyelim, a disciple of Huh, Baekryun under the pen name of Uije, one of ten artists

representing Korea, majored in Oriental painting and won a lot of prizes in Korea. When

she went

over to the United States in 1989 and settled in Princeton, she pursued further study with a

major in

 Sculpture at FIT and Fine Art of

Hongik University A master degree.

  She received the Culture Award that is a great honor for painters by attempting to

 integrate Western painting with Oriental painting. She has developed her own

friendly style of painting in which she has usually expressed the beauty and

surrounding environment of Princeton.
