Kwak,sukson Festival 53/45.5cm Korean paper on Coloring I believe that whatever the subject an artists is bealing with, he should digest it in an artixtic way and, at the same time, he should capture new beauty from the orninary things around us and make us awake. The subject of the painting is important. But how to look at the object and how to express it are far more important. I have been trying to dig out some things unnoticed or too farmiliar in order to baptize them with novelty. My attempts to light up the accustomed surroundings force me to try any possibilities to represent them, such as division of pictorial plane or contrasts between colors.
