The Mayan civilization around 1500 BC to 1500 CE, for about 3000 years, the roots have begun in the developmental era with the civilization of the forests in Mesoamerica.

Arise from the development of a surprisingly advanced calendar, progressive knowledge of astronomy (the accuracy of modern clocks and astronomy), people started to recognize the one of the civilized nations to be quiet, peaceful and philosophically developed. However, as Mayan inscriptions had been gradually deciphered , people were able to realize what they meant, a shocking reversal ensued.

Until the inscriptions were deciphered, Mayan scholars believed that Mayan civilization was a highly philosophical and peaceful. In particular, Eric Thompson, who was one of the Mayan researchers, was obsessed by the fantasy of a peaceful Mayan civilization, harshly criticized the approach of reality through the decipherment of Maya, which had already been carried on during his survival. His influences were so great that a proper Maya study could not proceed while he was alive. Eventually, after his death, the scholars began to decipher inscriptions actively, revealing the real Mayan civilization.

It turned out that the Mayan civilization was like a harsh battlefield where the human sacrifice, hallucinations of drugs, and everything went on the rampage. However, it was possible to develop a brilliant civilization because of this rage. In addition, it is not a civilization made up of a single tribe, so Maya consists of a total of 33 very disparate languages. For example, when deciphering inscriptions on the stones in Maya, it was very difficult to know them since they had to figure out from what language it was used.

The roots of Maya civilization originated from indigenous peoples who lived in the low-lying regions in Mesoamerica from 2000 BC onwards, and the fact that the name 'Maya' can be used properly was from 300 years ago. From that time on, the history of constant battle and development dominated the Mesoamerican regions. This whole picture can be seen through the decoded Maya texts at the end of the 20th century, and it is hard to understand fully about the cause of Maya's destruction, but I have come to know the reality of the Mayan civilization which has not just come and gone as before.
